What is the difference between GEO and SEO?+
SEO targets a position in a list of Google results. GEO targets a citation in an answer synthesized by an AI engine. The two disciplines share a common foundation (authority, freshness, quality) but differ in form: Google indexes, AI cites. GEO does not replace SEO, it adds to it. A serious site does both.
How do you measure citations in AI engines?+
Our system queries ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Mistral Le Chat daily on a panel of target queries. We count the domain’s appearances, its position in the list of sources, and the nature of the citation (active link or simple mention). Results are reported in the plugin dashboard and can be exported.
What happens if an AI engine changes its citation rules?+
Anticipating that is our job. CONCILIUM uses IA Rank GEO on its own client engagements, which gives us a very early signal on engine changes. The plugin is updated with every significant evolution, with guaranteed backward compatibility for paid plans. No action is required on your side.
